Shining a New Light on an Old Problem
Illumination Diagnostics proudly introduces a new line of wearable technology that provides the most accurate non-invasive, continuous monitoring of brain health, visual function, pain, opioid toxicity, and sleep stages.

Medical and Consumer Applications
Illumination Diagnostics offers a line of optical devices designed for both medical and consumer applications. With a focus on innovation, our company is poised to reach a diverse market, providing reliable solutions for various needs. Whether in a clinical setting or at home, our devices aim to enhance health and well-being for everyone. Explore the future of diagnostics with Illumination Diagnostics.
Vision
Patients undergoing any type of surgery can unexpectedly lose vision and wake up blind. Preventing these "never' events is one of our top priorities.
Sleep
Poor sleep afflicts almost two-thirds of the population and impacts brain health, wellness and healthspan. Accurately measuring the four stages of sleep at home is critical for diagnosing sleep disorders and for improving sleep hygiene.
Brain Health
ICU patients can deteriorate at a moments notice from brain swelling and bleeding. Early detection leads to early intervention, which saves lives.
Anesthesiology
Administering too much narcotic in the operating room causes slow wake-up and recovery room delays. An accurate monitor of narcotic toxicity will increase OR efficiency.

Our Story
The founder of Illumination Diagnostics, Dr. Theodore Schwartz, a Professor of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience, had a vision for a device that would be critically important for the care of his patients. He contacted his long-time collaborator John Kymissis, a Professor of Electrical Engineering, who agreed to help. They settled on a design for a line of devices that would meet several needs with a broad range of applications. Illumination Diagnostics is the vehicle that will bring their dream to life.
